Protection of marine turtle nesting from coastal erosion

July 31st

4:00pm (UTC+2)

Sea turtles face many challenges to ensure the survival of their species and one of the major challenges is coastal erosion, a phenomenon that threatens their nesting sites. Beach shrinkage, anthropogenic disturbances, submersion of nests, etc. To address these problems, many conservation measures based on soft solutions are implemented. In this workshop, we will discuss the compatibility between erosion control measures and protection of nesting sites, how to reconcile these two objectives?
