World Island Networks and Organisations

This event will bring together international networks and organizations from around the world that contribute to the preservation of the environment and heritage of the islands. SMILO has carried out a mapping of these networks in order to analyze their role and to identify opportunities for cooperation between these actors. The intermediate results of this analysis will be presented during the event. This initiative is conducted in partnership with the Conservatoire du Littoral, the Global Island Partnership (GLISPA), Green Cross France et Territoires, Island Conservation, the PIM Initiative and Precovery Labs. Introduction: mapping of islands in the world (ESRI and IRD) Presentation of the results of the interim report “Mapping world island networks and organisations” followed by reactions and interventions from island networks and institutional partners, followed by a question and answer session. Working language: English Hybrid online and face-to-face event.
