Assessment and management of essential Mediterranean fish habitats

November 28th

10:30 – 12:30 AM

In order to optimize the planning and zoning of management measures for marine ecosystems, it is particularly crucial to better understand the identity and distribution of key habitats such as spawning grounds and nurseries. With this in mind and within the framework of the Mediterranean MMAP (Marine Action Plan), the MedHab project (2019-2022) aimed to locate and quantify the availability of certain marine habitats fulfilling an essential nursery function, and aimed to assess and advise on their consideration in coastal management plans. This webinar will present this project and its main results.
