SYNOPSIS

This production tells the story of Rufisque’s guardian spirit through two initiates of the Lebou brotherhood: the origins of Mame Coumba Lamb, her journey, her encounter with the Lebou community, and the pact signed by both parties to ensure peaceful coexistence between invisible beings and communities on earth. The story recounts the manifestations of the pact signed through the color red, the color of blood and life, protection, and therapy with the Ndeup.

BIOGRAPHY

Bedy MBow is a Senegalese journalist and communications specialist from Rufisque who is passionate about gender issues, human rights, and sustainable development. With a wealth of experience, she uses her voice and commitment to support social and environmental causes. Trained at the Center for Studies in Information Science and Technology (CESTI), Bedy specializes in radio production and promoting local initiatives. Active in the community movement and committed to the training of young people and women, she has participated in numerous capacity-building programs in journalism, leadership, and inclusive green economy, notably with Afri’Kibaaru and Kalan Académie. Through her work, she helps give a voice to coastal communities, with a focus on citizen information and social change.
