Adaptation to Climate Change in Coastal Areas: Working with Nature – June 15–17, 2022
As part of the French Presidency of the European Union, the Conservatoire du littoral, in partnership with the Ocean & Climate Platform, the Eurosite association, the Association of Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTA), the SEARICA Intergroup (Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas), and the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), brought together the Coastal Agencies Network of Europe and the Mediterranean as well as French, European, and international stakeholders working on climate change adaptation in coastal zones.
The aim of this event was to exchange and share approaches, challenges, and insights among the various organizations on this topic, and to draft a policy paper including the recommendations and strategies developed jointly during the event. This document will be shared with representatives of the European Union, Member States, coastal regions, and cities, so that it can serve as a tool at every level for the planning and implementation of adaptation measures.
