Assessment and management of essential Mediterranean fish habitats

November 28th

10:30 – 12:30

In order to optimize the planning and zoning of marine ecosystem management measures, it is crucial to better understand the identity and distribution of key habitats such as spawning grounds and nurseries. With this goal in mind, and as part of the Mediterranean Action Plan (PAMM), the MedHab project (2019-2022) aimed to locate and quantify the availability of certain marine habitats that play an essential nursery function. The project also sought to evaluate and provide recommendations on integrating these habitats into coastal management plans. This webinar will present the project and its main results.
